Family Liaison

Dear Bristow Run Elementary Families,

My name is Tania Flores, and this is my fourth year as your Family Liaison at Bristow Run Elementary.

A Family Liaison is a Prince William County Schools staff member who serves as an advocate for students and their families within the school community. My role is to help connect families facing challenges or life stressors with school and community resources that can provide support and help ensure student success throughout their educational journey.

These challenges can take many forms, including concerns related to a child's mental health, parenting support, financial hardships, language barriers, family dynamics, and other situations that may impact a family's well-being.

At Bristow Run Elementary, we want every student and family to thrive. We are here to support you during difficult times and to help connect you with resources that may make a difference. If you feel your family could benefit from additional support, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] or 703-753-7741.

Please know that our conversations are confidential. Any information you choose to share will only be used to help identify and coordinate appropriate support for your family and student, and only with your consent.

A Little About Me

I am a proud military wife to an amazing Marine veteran (Hurrah!), and a mother of three wonderful children and three beloved furry family members. I love animals, enjoy spending time in nature, and cherish the time I spend with my family, who are at the heart of everything I do.

For many years, I have been a community advocate, serving as an interpreter and advocate for families whose primary language is not English. I am passionate about helping others, especially children and older adults. I strongly believe that investing in our children helps create a brighter future, while honoring and supporting our elders recognizes the valuable contributions they have made to our communities.

I am excited for another wonderful school year and look forward to partnering with you. Please reach out if there is any way I can support your family.
