We have begun our 4th grade SOL review. Students have been participating in a science competition of old SOL questions for 4th grade objectives. Your child's SOL review material, should be stored in a manila folder and brought home Monday- Thursday for studying purposes.

** We have started division with 2 digit divisors. This can be difficult. Please take the time to work with your child at home. Word problems can also be difficult for students to understand what operation (adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing) to use. Please encourage them to problem solve at home with real life experiences.
We are ending our week with the school store- and it is a hit!! Thank you parents for adding to our store. It's so fun to see the kids excited about spending their money that they have earned throughout the weeks.

Our great school week ended with the Code of Behavior Assembly today, the Beginning of the Year Reading Assessment, and the Class Store!
Thank you to all of the parents who have donated items for the class store. It is so fun to watch the students get excited to buy an item from the store with the money they have earned.
Next week we will begin Geography in Social Studies and focus on Multiplication in Math. Yesterday and today our students learned about Prime and Composite Numbers. See if they can explain how to determine if a number is Prime or Composite?
