  • Kids Heart Challenge

Bristow Run will be participating in this year’s Kids Heart Challenge (KHC) starting on Friday January 13th with the last day to collect donations on Tuesday January 31st. Our goal is to raise $5000 with your help.

The KHC benefits kids born with special hearts. All funds raised will support the American Heart Association (AHA) initiatives of preventing e-cigarette and tobacco use in youth, providing scientific research and accelerating science, improving quality of medical care, and improving nutrition security.

This challenge will take place online. In order to participate, students need to start by downloading the AHA app or by clicking HERE to sign up. Once downloaded, students will sign up and choose a challenge. This year's challenges are to move more or be kind. Once the student is signed up and have chosen their challenge, they will then set a fundraising goal for themselves and invite friends and family to support it. Students will have the opportunity to win various prizes such as keychains, jump ropes, t-shirts, playground balls, socks and fitness watches along the way to reaching their goal. We will show the students some of the prizes during our kickoff meeting.

Please be on the lookout for a letter from the AHA to come home with your child Friday, January 13.
